Suggested amendments to the Queen Street West
Heritage Conservation District Guidelines

This report is a response to the architectural standards required of infill construction in the Queen St. W. HCD. In the present guidelines there is only the most cursory regard given to size and regularity of window opening, type of cladding and appropriate massing. This report seeks to rectify the situation with more stringent requirements based on six case studies of well-executed 'historical' infill in downtown.
