Commercial block, 396 Pacific Ave.

T.A.C. visits the best Edwardian commercial district in Toronto: Dundas St. West in the Junction. The area is home to the finest extant group of branch banks in the city and much more — lofty commercial blocks and retail buildings from a range of eras. As you can see from this well-utilized, buff brick and curtain walled saw-tooth commercial row, the buildings of interest are by no means limited to the old or the lofty. Excellent or curious Victorian, Deco and Modern are also highlighted.

The tour is free. The general public is welcome.

The best TTC access is the Junction bus #40 “West” from Dundas West subway station.
