RIVERDALE'S HALF-ROUND BUILDING???
... OR 20,000 CARS ON THE ROAD FOR A WHOLE YEAR???*

Two mediation sessions were held at the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) this summer to attempt to resolve the differences between  Citizens for Riverdale Hospital (CRH) and Bridgepoint Health with little success. Matters are now moving toward a hearing that is scheduled to begin on November 6th, 2006.

The central outstanding issues revolve around:

  • the environmental impact of demolishing the Half-Round
  • the architectural and historical value of the building, and
  • Bridgepoint's overall plan for the site.
